A Message from Tanya’s Mother
“This foundation stretches beyond the legacy of a 16-year-old girl whose life ended abruptly. Tanya genuinely made an effort to support anyone she met, wishing only the best for all. She was a wonderful humanitarian and left this world all too soon. In reflection of her life, this foundation offers inspiration and scholarship assistance for a high school student who wants to attend the police academy to carve their own career path of service. I am so proud of the person my daughter was and so proud of her brother Adam, who continues to light her memory. He started the Tanya Clavey Memorial Foundation to ensure her life continues to make a difference. Adam serves the community faithfully as a Law Enforcement Officer.”

“As the very first recipient of the Tanya Clavey Foundation Scholarship, I am thankful and grateful because the scholarship money assisted me in becoming a police officer, which is something I’ve always wanted to do ever since I was in elementary school. Having to pay for the police academy out of pocket would have set my financial abilities back and would have required me to work two jobs to save up for the course.
This scholarship is truly a Godsend. I feel honored to pay back my blessings by blessing others with my opportunities.”

“I am very fortunate to have received a scholarship from the foundation. I would not have gained a position as a law enforcement officer as quickly as I did without their help. The process was easy and they provided continuous support and resources throughout my training.”

“I am very appreciative for the foundation and the scholarship that they have provided me. The foundation allowed me to become a Law Enforcement Officer in a very timely manner. The foundation gave continuous support and resources through the academy and continues to support me throughout my training.”

“I have had the pleasure of working alongside Adam Spatafora and the Tanya Clavey Foundation for a couple of years now. When I have a deserving candidate, I easily present the foundation their information and they are delighted to pay for their tuition. The foundation is incredibly easy to work with and I know we are building a better community together.”
